![]() ![]() It's like putting a Porshe engine in a VW bug. ![]() I have a chance with this one to give it new electronics, new nut, new pickguard, and play like a dream. So many people try to "antique" there guitars for the look on stage and for someone to come up to them and say "Wow, how old is that thing?". I dig playing a beefed up Squire, or a redone POS. I've always been a fan of "sleeper", "black horse", and "modernized-vintage" guitars. The FB has the nice and ugly pits from wear and the body has tons of chips all over the thing. I want to keep it as "originally-antiqued" as possible. The guy I'm doing this for just wants the guitar to play great. I would rather use the original FB for a few reasons. ![]()
